Alaine Field

Alaine Field

Art Director

Alaine comes from an unusual bloodline, a mix of Black Angus and graphic design. The Black Angus comes from her family’s cattle ranch near Townsend, Montana. The design, well, read on.

Now, we love the genetic characteristics that come with this background—hard work, honesty, perseverance and a “get back on the horse” attitude. But the design strain seems dominant, as Alaine and her two sisters are all graphic designers with a Montana State University education. In addition to her BFA in Graphic Design, she has a degree from the Honors College. Alaine’s creative skills extend to music where she played cello for the MSU Symphony orchestra.

This wonderfully bizarre mix means Alaine is as happy printmaking as she is driving cattle and mending fences. But don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you. In fact, be careful—this young lady has been helping her dad harvest rocky mountain oysters since she was 10 years old.
